These little bottles had really secure rubber stoppers in each one, and you get the ink on your fingers opening them all, so I actually trimmed the rubber stoppers a bit and now they work but are easier to pull out of each little bottle, because there are quite an array of colors and the pens really work well and write for a while! I was concerned since everything inside is so fragile. Turns out I had no reason to be concerned cause there wasn't a single crack on anything inside. The only issue I encountered was with the tear drop shaped pen. The plastic tube that covered the tip was very difficult to pull off. Other than that one drawback everything was as it should be. I like all the colors and that I can easily switch colors in one sitting. "

Not for young kids, messy and staining
This set is fun and does everything it says it will. It is really, really messy. Get tight fitting gloves before opening for the first time because there is a little rubber stopper and getting it off the bottle is a challenge. Also, spill this stuff at your peril! It is the same with any real ink, and this is real ink!

Gorgeous products. They came new and well protected for glass pens. No damage was received and box was in perfect condition. The ink can stain your hands so be careful when removing the rubber stopper from the ink cap. Highly recommend this product for starters whether for calligraphy or art.

BEAUTIFUL!
I saw someone on youtube drawing with a glass pen, so naturally I wanted to try. In looking for a pen and ink set I thought flat or matte ink would be better than ink with glitter. I was wrong. These inks are so pretty. The glitter is subtle, not overpowering or tacky looking. I wish I were a better artist, these inks and pen are perfect, so is the price. It's difficult to capture the glitter in a picture.

they are BEAUTIFUL! (pens and ink)
not only is the BOX beyond beautiful, i mean REALLY... but the pens are very elegant and in 2 nib sizes, they are really really nice! the inks could have been a bitof a mess had i not read other reviews, but i have so i knew what to be aware of, and mine all came with push in rubber plugs so other than getting a bit 'o ink on my fingers when taking out and putting back in~ those plugs~ all is well. like other reviewers said SHAKE the ink bottles really well before using them, but make certain that rubber stopper is still in them when you do this, and you will be fine. really lovely inks, NOT waterproof when dry though... so thats another consideration. but they are still well worth the price and your time to get to know the set.
